Agreement
These Terms of Use apply to BigTable, Suffice, Sated, Caloma and Hearken (the “apps”) and to this website, all provided by Stephen Warren (“we”, “us”). By downloading or using an app or the website, you agree to these terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you don’t agree, please don’t use them.
Apps downloaded from the App Store are also licensed to you under Apple’s Licensed Application End User License Agreement. If these terms and Apple’s agreement conflict, these terms control to the extent allowed. Apple is not responsible for the apps or their support.
Using the apps
You may use the apps for your own personal, household and non-commercial purposes on Apple devices you own or control. Please don’t misuse them: don’t interfere with how they work, try to access data or systems you aren’t allowed to, reverse engineer them except where the law allows, or use them to break the law or someone else’s rights.
Accounts
BigTable requires an account; the other apps work without one. You’re responsible for keeping your sign-in secure and for what happens under your account. In BigTable, the household organizer decides who joins and what each member may change. When you share a Suffice budget or Caloma family, the people you share with can see and change the shared information.
Subscriptions
Some apps offer paid features, such as BigTable Pro. Prices are shown in the app before you buy. Subscriptions are billed through your Apple Account and renew automatically unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. You can manage or cancel them in Settings › [your name] › Subscriptions. Refunds are handled by Apple under its policies. Usage limits on AI features may apply and are shown in the app.
Your content
You own what you create — recipes, notes, budgets, chores and everything else. To run BigTable, you give us a limited license to store, process and display your content as needed to provide the service, including showing published recipes and your public profile to other users if you choose to make them visible. You can unpublish a recipe or delete your account at any time.
Only add content you have the right to use, and only add information about other people — such as family members — that you are entitled to share.
Community rules
BigTable’s Community lets people share recipes and follow one another. Be kind. Don’t post anything unlawful, hateful, harassing, sexually explicit, misleading or infringing, and don’t spam. We may remove content or restrict accounts that break these rules. You can block people and report content by writing to us.
Important limits
AI features can be wrong. Review anything they produce before you rely on it.
Third parties
The apps rely on services from others, including Apple (iCloud, Sign in with Apple, Health, the App Store), and, depending on the app, Plaid, Open Food Facts, Supabase, Vercel, RevenueCat and AI and content providers. Their own terms apply to their services, and we aren’t responsible for them. Food data includes information from USDA FoodData Central and Open Food Facts (available under the Open Database License).
Our property
The apps, their designs, icons, names and this website belong to us or our licensors and are protected by law. These terms don’t give you any right to use our names or logos. Apple, iPhone, iPad, Apple Watch and iCloud are trademarks of Apple Inc.
Warranties and liability
The apps and website are provided “as is” and “as available”. To the fullest extent allowed by law, we make no warranties, express or implied, including that they will be uninterrupted, error-free, accurate, or fit for a particular purpose.
To the fullest extent allowed by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for lost data, profits or savings, arising from your use of the apps. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the greater of the amount you paid us for the app in the 12 months before the claim, or US $50. Some places don’t allow these limits, so they may not apply to you; nothing here limits rights you have by law that can’t be waived.
Ending and changes
You can stop using the apps at any time. We may suspend or end access to BigTable for accounts that break these terms. We may change, add or remove features, and may update these terms; the current version and date will always be posted here, and continuing to use the apps after an update means you accept it. These terms are governed by the laws of [STATE], United States, except where your local consumer law gives you other rights.
